Summary

In this two-hour course, Mr. Carlson will discuss the changing times in funeral service and the families served. Todd will discuss groundbreaking research into how consumer’s funeral attitudes have changed from 2011 to 2021 and how the COVID-19 Pandemic new types of funeral consumers today and how to plan a strategy to communicate with these new funeral consumer groups.

Part/Hour One: A 10-Year Case Study Comparison

This hour will reveal case study findings based on an overview to investigate the perceptions and attitudes toward the funeral profession from today’ funeral consumers so that funeral professionals can be better prepared to interact with their changing preferences.

Part/Hour Two: How People’s Habits, Lifestyles, and Attitudes Shape Their Funeral Preferences

This hour will reveal five key findings based on an overview look into the perceptions and attitudes toward the funeral profession for 7 different types of funeral consumer segments so that funeral professionals can be better prepared to interact with changing preferences of today’s consumers.
