“Military Funeral Honors (MFH): Best Practices and Procedures” is an educational program designed to provide funeral professionals is an educational initiative crafted to equip funeral industry experts with the essential knowledge to support U.S. Army Veterans and their families with dignity and respect. This program encompasses a comprehensive lexicon of common terminology, illuminating real-life scenarios encountered during funeral arrangements, unique considerations for Military Veteran funeral services, strategies for community involvement, and more.

While focusing primarily on Army Veteran protocols, this presentation extends valuable insights applicable to funeral directors assisting clients from diverse military backgrounds. Our presenter will delve into the eligibility criteria for Army Military Honors, elucidate service options tailored to the individual's military tenure and discharge status, and explore available resources and entitlements for surviving family members of departed Army veterans.

Discussion will also cover resources available to the family members of deceased Army veterans and possible benefits and entitlements. Finally, the presenter will touch upon the cooperation of our organization and Veteran Service Organizations (VSOs) and our collective mission to honor our fallen brothers and sisters in arms.
